Now in our 9th year, Share The Glow was established to celebrate the glow of loved ones lost. STG was founded in 2015 by Rhonda Irey, following the loss of her oldest daughter, Kara. Kara was an avid runner, awesome momma, and incredibly loved by all. She had a glow. A smile. A hope. And a beautiful outlook of God’s light through the ash. Kara was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2012, and fought long and hard, never losing faith. Though her body gave in, her glow continued on. Today, we continue celebrating her glow by hosting an annual golf outing and silent auction/raffle. Past events have included a sunset glow run, 5k walk, and game-filled festival to raise funds for our annual STG Scholarship. All proceeds and donations are 100% invested into STG’s Scholarship Fund and our newly-created FEED THE NEED fund. Event activities and expenses are purely donation. We are proud to continue offering yearly scholarships, increase the awareness of esophageal cancer, and mostly - celebrate one beautiful night remembering the memory of loved ones by glowing. We invite you to join us in the celebration, the walk, the cure, the glow.
